    The eyes have it...!!!

    Oh what a gorgeous man (Tyrone Power)...and his beautiful leading lady Gene Tierney. I was so caught up in the way each character interacted with one another that I had to watch the movie again. I loved the way each actor/ actress used their eyes to convey emotion in order to draw us into the depth of what they were feeling in each scene..."(The eyes have it)"...means just that...it is the way eye contact is lengthened, or how you hold the look for longer than a breath. Now I did not like some of the scenes Tierney had because it appeared to me that she over acted but overall she was very good. I read some of the reviews before purchasing this movie but not to gauge what others thought but to make sure I got a good DVD copy. I have seen Razors Edge on TCM and I very much enjoyed it, so much so that I purchased a copy now, I will not give the details but I will say that this movie has one of THE best love scenes I have ever seen played out on the big screen. It does not last that long but it was riveting. Truly a classic amidst the great romances of the theater and there are quite a few but in this movie as well as in others like GHOST, IMITATION OF LIFE and THE LAST CONTESSA, there is a message in the madness...some lesson to be learned through all the twist and turns of the story-line but very clear in it's presentation............

    The Razor's Edge movie

    There was absolutely nothing wrong with the DVD. But this movie is weird. Clifton Webb gave the best performance, I think. The other performances were decent, but the story is just strange. Maybe it comes off better in book form.

    A timeless classic

    This movie from 1946, has no equal. It is a beautiful beautiful picture. It's about existentialism and reality. It was far ahead of its time back in the 40s and even today is within the realm of reasoning. Tyrone Power is excellent as Larry Darrell.
