Great Monitor but... buying experience was a disappointment
Nice game PC monitor. Wish that remote control would be included but it it a great value for the money afterall. NOTE: eBay has screwed up with my purchase and did not gave me the option during checkout to use my PayPal paying plan although, it was advertised as an option for the buyer. Heavy/somewhat buggy at first, but great experience after set-up
This monitor is a very immersive experience; it was much heavier and larger than expected, but that's fine. Onto the bugs, the monitor (depends on what model/manufacturing batch you get) will or will not show scan-lines on the screen. Also, I have read that some batches flicker, although it does not for me (I believe this was fixed in 2021 batches). Away from the negatives, the experience is much better than a standard 16:9 experience, it almost covers my entire horizontal field of view, although the pixel density isn't the best when close-up. This will take up a lot of desk space, but it is worth the space taken. From a productivity standpoint, getting this has helped with many apps that do not scale; helping with multitasking. The assembly and setup manual isn't that hard to follow if you have some experience and can figure things out, but the manuals are oversimplified to the point that they require you to find something relative to a picture. Amazing monitor!!! However....
This monitor is amazing, however this model is one the original G9 monitors with the "Early adopter" issues.. such as it getting SUPER warm (turning the brightness down to 50 or below will help immensely). Other than that it's a great monitor, I do recommend you update it's firmware as it clears up many of the issues it had at launch, but when you look for the update, get the update from the "G95" section as the "G97" section doesn't have it.
