So very pleased after two other brand stick vacuums that became faulty within a year. Excellent vacuum cleaner. Best I’ve owned.
I saw the dirt seeking laser light on commercial and thought a good idea. The price was a concern at first so I decided on a refurbished machine direct from Dyson via their outlet eBay page. It’s so very easy to empty. I always empty after each use anyway. It’s strong and sturdy but not too heavy. The filter is great. I love the hard floor head with the laser. The piezo sensor display shows what type of dust is being sucked up. It’s various attachments are ever so handy. I had two 2-in-1 vacuums before this, both mid range brands and well known and both went faulty within a year. The pivot heads particularly. This Dyson V12 Detect is the best vacuum I’ve ever owned. I’ve had two upright corded Dysons in the past and this is better. Easy for use on the stairs and upholstery too. Cannot fault it.

Excellent for older relatives when the larger ones are 2 heavy
I purchased the item because it was good priced and my old Dyson that's lasted 14 years needs new bristles. The Dyson has all the features and suction I need. The different heads for carpet and hard floor do make a difference. I had a different brand cordless stick that only had the soft brush for hard floors and it was no good on carpet. The battery life for me in auto estimates 27 mins with a motorhead attached that's enough for me to do my house with time to spare. The power button instead of a trigger is also an improvement. Don't know if I care the trigger has gone or if both would be better. The only negitive I have found is the bin. Because it's so small hair gets wrapped in the top of the bin so you have to reach up to remove it. I also have hair that's about 80cm long though so short hairs the bin action should sweep the hair away when you empty it
