Great recipes. Excellent entertaining resource. Well written with holiday menu suggestions, wedding time menus, and helpful sections in the back on useful preparation methods such as making stocks and handling poultry and seafood This is a one volume collection of what was a total of 25 incredible separate volumes. A handy "best of" in one handy book. Superb editing and pictures. This is one of 3 cookbooks I give to newlyweds. The others being LaVarenne Pratique by Anne Willan and Cook It Right also by Anne Willan. The 3 together cover modern Classic French techniques, recipes for all occasions and a handy guide to fix cooking problems. Though published twenty years ago and counting it has stood the test of time as a solid go-to cookbook for entertaining. Delicious and impressive dishes! Worthy of Le Cordon Bleu's reputation.
