The topic of magic often sparks both interest and controversy in the field of Wicca. It is common to find people develop an interest in becoming Witches solely because of the magic involved in Wicca. This alteration was to establish a difference between the Wiccan magic and the activities of illusionists and stage magicians whose stock-in-trade was to entertain people with their magical powers. What is, today, known as magick exclusively describes the revered activities of Wiccans, and is also referred to as Witchcraft or simply 'The Craft'. To a large extent, the Wiccan magick isn't much different in form from the known ancient magic since it involves the same process and practice of bringing about changes in the physical realm with the help of supernatural powers.
