Entry level Miele is affordable and works as well as higher end models
This is the sixth Miele vacuum I bought for myself and others over a 30-year period. It is my preferred vacuum brand. The Classic C1 is considered an entry level Miele and is priced accordingly. That makes it much more affordable than some of the higher-end models. Despite being a cheaper model, it has features I most prize in a Meile. The suction is powerful, the dirt-catching bag eliminates dust blow back, the versatile attachments make cleaning nooks and crannies easy. This particular model is extremely lightweight and easy to transport. The powerhead works fine on carpets, but is not as good at deep cleaning those on some of the higher-end models. Since I have very little carpeting, this model is fine for me. The one con is the short electric cord. To completely vacuum any room in my house, I am required to turn off the vacuum, unplug it, move it to a different outlet, turn it on again and continue. In larger rooms, such as the living room, I have to move the plug two or three times. Using a heavy duty extension cord with it would solve the issue.
