    Good idea, bad in practise

    This is a very well made product but it does not poach eggs well. It all depends on the water temp, the eggs and the microwave and finding the correct conditions to poach great eggs seems nigh on impossible. Unfortunately the good old water in a pan method is much better and much much more controllable. It’s one of those products that is a good idea but completely impractical. Sorry but wish I hadn’t bothered.

    A dead loss!

    We cannot get the eggs to poach properly - ie. soft yolk and set white or the yolks are cooked too much - we have tried different time settings and no good - the white is too runny! A lesson learnt - no more microwave egg poachers.

    Worst poacher ever

    Normally use some cheaply clear egg poachers but wanted to do more in one go. Bought this one as it sounded pretty good and did four at a time. Well, followed instructions with Luke warm water to fill line and put in four eggs. 1m 50 for runny poached eggs apparently. Well 1m 50 the yolks were starting to go solid but the egg whites were separate to the yolk. Another thirty seconds still the whites weren’t set... thirty second more still not set. After nearly five mins solid yolks and hit and miss egg whites. One egg was fine but solid yolks 2 eggs were solid yolks and half of the whites were fine. The last egg, the whites fell away from folk. All in all a total disappointment. That was in an 850w microwave

    Hard to get perfect

    This is a really well made product but my own personal issue with it is that it’s bigger than what I expected and I can only fit in the microwave once I’ve removed the turntable, I’m not sure if this is the reason but I’ve tried adjusting different times and still find it difficult to get a perfect runny egg, if I get the yolk running the white of the egg still seems way undercooked, shame really,

    Very good, but change times to suit.

    Works very well, eggs were poached great, once the cooking time had been increased from that listed in the instructions. They were still quite raw when done to the instructions, but got mine just how I like them with an extra minute. I know, microwaves do vary, but mine is a professional model so is more powerful than most, but my eggs still needed about 2 1/2 minutes. Enjoy 😊😊

    Very good idea, no mess

    It is very good idea but I can't get eggs right, if i cook recommended time egg white under cooked and yoke is nice and runny if I Cook for another 10 second then yoke is too hard.

    No good for poaching eggs.

    Systema make high quality microwaveable containers. This item however, should never have been released onto the market. It really doesn't work. You finish up with eggs at different stages of cooking. Raw to hard as a rock.

    Poached eggs to perfection!!

    Get one of these, I have two already as my sons eat a lot of poached eggs before/after the gym. One being used & one in the dishwasher every day! Do not be put off by comments on poor cooking etc. You just need to discover the combination of egg temperature/size and cooking time. My boys have them down to perfection - set white, firm to runny yolk. This will be No.3 for the eldest first home (not letting mine go)!! Well worth it!

    Worst poached egg I've ever had.

    This egg poacher looks good, but just makes a total mess of poaching eggs. The eggs were swamped with water, the poacher itself took ages to clean, and is now being recycled.
