Generally good value, but previously bought a Thorne Quality second CEDAR beehive cheaper. The Thornes hive included all nails & glue. The pine needs supplementary treatment to ensure maximising it's life, nails & glue. Your hive was better because (1) Bee excluder metal, not plastic (2) The varroa floor is solid wood (3) The roof & floor are already assembled. Does the job, easy to assemble.
It’s a National hive - it does what it says on the tin! Clear instructions and easy to assemble. Unfortunately there are no nails with it to make it completely fixed but all joints are reasonably tight. I just feel nailing together would make a more secure job.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
