This product is easy to assemble with very clear instructions. Very sturdy and neat perfect for my 1 year old. The soft close lid is also a bonus as out of the others I had looked into not one was soft closing. The top finishing look as a seat is also a beautiful design for all her teddies. Difficult to assemble.
The box arrived quickly, which was handy, our problems mainly started when we began to assemble the box. The instructions were clear, everything was packaged well etc. The first problem we noticed was there were a lot of scratches on the parts, luckily we were decorating it as it is for a gift so it wasn't the end of the world but not what I expected from a new product. The holes for the dowels were far too big, and other holes were drilled too small making it difficult to assemble, also the slotted lines to slide the sides and back into place were not properly aligned so it took a good bit of knocking things into place and a small amount of filing to get it to slot in so we could finish putting it together. The hinge part that stops the lid slamming/holds it open is crazy stiff to the extent the lid doesn't shut properly at all, we have to put things onto it to keep it shut. However after the nightmare of putting it together and the scratches which we covered, it is a nice toybox. It is a nice size, feels relatively solid, and looks nice once finished. If it weren't for the aesthetic flaws and the misaligned slots I would definitely recommend this. Is good for the price but certainly not great...
Don't believe this was originally £280... Its OK but its not great. Will fit the purpose it was bought for but I wouldn't in a million years pay the "original" price. Looks nice but also let down by the big visible screws on the outside, the fittings were either too tight or too loose, the lid doesn't shut properly either and I've tried altering the screws and this makes no difference. Also the back doesn't line up with the sides great. Half of this is solid wood and the other half is flimsy chipboard. Great toybox very solid and easy to put together.
Quality metal to metal fixings from the screws and a sturdy MDF construction means that when assembled this is solid enough for an adult to sit on. I noticed a number of people had an issue with the soft close hinge holding the door open and I worked out why, the holes on the lid ate a couple of mm too far back, if you let the hinge come down in its natural position during assembly then put the screws in there the door will shut perfectly. Decent, few problems
Easy to assemble, good quality for price. However certain parts was tough to align. Hinge far to stiff it actually pulled the screws out when trying to close it making it no longer functional, so using without hinge. Great little box/seat
Nice product at a great price. Easy to assemble. I made a cushion for the top so it makes a really nice seat too. Only thing I didn't like was the exposed screw heads but I bought some adhesive screw head covers which worked a treat to cover them. Very pleased.

Good value toy box
This is a great toy box and the perfect size for our newborn who has already collected a good number of cuddly toys when we have little storage in her nursery. The only issue was that the holes for the lid were not aligned and so we had to drill our own additional hols in order for the lid to close properly. Sadly disappointed
Thought we'd grabbed a bargain but it turned up with four screws missing and a scratched backboard. The company offered a discount if we took photos but by then my husband had stuck it together with gorilla glue! If you don't mind doing that, it's quite sturdy. Never in a million years would this product sell at £289, only just us it worth the discounted rate we paid.
