Onkyo A-9010 UK Hi-Fi Stereo Amplifier
I bought this to drive my Q Acoustics 3010i speakers. I have to report that this was a match made in heaven. I set this with the tonal bypass setting to ensure the cleanest sound. After listening to a range of music from Puccini to Metallica it was quickly evident just how spacial, crisp and punchy the Onkyo's range, depth and presence produced. I have only used it so far with my Marantz CD player. I can't wait to link it to my Harman-Kardon ST-7 with Ortofon VMS30 when I get around to unboxing them after moving home recently. I consider this amplifier to be excellent value for money, especially as some retailers are now offering this for less than two hundred pounds. Well done Onkyo for a well laid out facia. ONKYO A9010 Stereo Amplifier
I bought this amp based on what hifi reviews and the fact that ONKYO build their amps purely for sound and build quality. I dont need a dac, bluetooth usb or extra speaker terminals. Just good sound. It has a fantastic inbuilt phono stage and the head phone section has a seperate amplifier, really usefull. No frills, well built, looks good and very discrete in terms of its operation. Very, very highly revommended

STUNNINGLY PERFECT in every way
First of all, the SOUND QUALITY is BREATHTAKING. Sumptuous, full and rich, and the clarity knocks my socks off !!! THIS is the sort of sound you get on an amplifier TEN TIMES THE PRICE. We've been around quite a while, and sound systems come and go. The Onkyo looks to be the AMPLIFIER OF CHOICE for decades to come. A good amp for using with a turntable
Well built and sinple simple to use this analogue amp is great with a turntable. With a CD player i am using bass and treble controls but using 'direct' with a turntable gives a clearer more detailed rendering of vinyl music which is what I wanted rather than using a digital amp. Onkyo 9010 great at the basics
This amplifier is substantial and we'll made and delivers excellent sound at a bargain price. The lack of digital inputs and the basic remote obviously helps keep the cost down. Highly Recommended.
The Onkyo replaces my old (about 35 years!) Pioneer amp which had 120 watts per channel into 8 ohm speakers and was very much more expensive. I expected the Onkyo to be much less powerful at about 45 watts pc but it shows little sign of that. I listen to mainly jazz and classical and it reproduces jazz bass accurately and strongly enough for domestic purposes and handles steep dynamic orchestral surges, e.g. as in Beethoven, very well.
