Ideal and Easy SSD Upgrade for a Mac
Purchased this Samsung 1TB SSD after researching reviews to speed up an ageing iMac 2009 and double the drive capacity. Great product and good value if you look out for some bargain offers with prices just over the £100+ mark f you shop around. Easy to clone when using a USB to SATA adapter cable or docking station. Small, light and compact but you will need a 2.5' to 3.5" carrier if installing in an iMac ( or straight swap if in a MacBook Pro). Highly recommended. Best SSD on the market.
Amazing quality straight out of the box, I was so pleased to see even the packaging was top quality. SSD was installed into my 2015 iMac and it transformed it. It went from a three minute boot time to 22 seconds flat, the iMac is so snappy now and everything loads almost instantly. It has saved the need to buy a new Imac. "A really good recomandation for XBOX ONE X"
It is meant to be used with an XBOX ONE X, in an ORICO casing as an external SSD. It works just fine! Considerably faster game loading. Could be even faster if it was used as an internal SSD instead of the HDD. Great for archiving all those photos and music - a real time saver !
My first venture into the larger 1tb SSD's - the 860 EVO is probably as fast as any in this (now-older) generation of architecture, so I'm depending on it being reliable for long term archiving.
