Amazing camera, fast, well build and great image quality!
The Sony a99II is the perfect full frame camera. This camera does everything that you need it to do, it has a great low light sensor, perfect up to 6400 ISO. The AF is great, very fast and perfect for sports or moving objects. The JPEGs and RAW files are both excellent and the 42mp image size give you enough room to crop the image. The 4K video is very nice, but unfortunately you are stuck at f3.5 while shooting with AF, hopefully that can be addressed in a future firmware update. Great camera, but some shortcomings.
All lenses that worked on the a77 don't work well on this camera. The Tamron 18-200 has a black halo around the picture. There is no built in flash. Movie mode kicks out after about 30 min. (my a77 could keep going if I restarted between scenes) Picture Quality is great!! It works very well in low light. I took pictures at a play while they were setting up in the dark and the pictures were good. Going from auto to manual focus was a problem, which I will probably solve with practice. I can't stress enough how good the pictures are. I took pictures of some birds with a 500x lens and could see individual feathers clearly.

Best full frame Sony camera
This is a replacement for my Sony A 850 which was and still is a very good camera . The Sony Alpha A99 ii with the wifi feature was one of the reasons I decided to purchase it along with the 42.5 MP frame . With the app , transfering pictures to my cell phone was easy . If you are a past owner of a Sony A850 or A900 , you will love working with this camera . A99ii my review
This is a very complex camera but can be easily used in auto. If you use in auto, you will be hindering your capabilities and product. There is a lack of training and good manuals for this camera. Sony has out sourced a printed manual big $$$$. Come on Sony, just paid $3000, then you can't provide a good manuals. This is a great extension for the A-mount lens if you have them.
