I suppose you can't expect too much from a 3MP (is it 3MP?) camera. I did not realise the resolution was so low until I tried it as the advertising keeps that quiet. If you have a biggish screen, as I do, then you will see the barely acceptable result. Focussing is weird as I always seem out of focus yet it will focus closer and seemingly the background can be in focus....but a subject 2ft from from the camera...not so good. I use the Logitech Capture software to get the best out of it but even so the image is barely acceptable. My son got a better webcam on Ebay for far less than I paid for mine. The free software works ok, plugs and plays ok and it is not the most ugly of webcams....but I thought I was paying the extra for image quality.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Absolutely the right thing for zoom meetings. It just works. Good quality image and sound. As least as good or better than what anyone else is using. And at a reasonable price. Have just recently purchased this product to replace my current poor laptop inbuilt camera. It’s took minutes to connect and set up, and very impressed with the quality. Good picture quality
My desk is next to a window so when I'm on Zoom I'm either flooded by light from the side or have to close the curtains. I initially bought a much cheaper webcam but it didn't cope well with these issues. This one is pricy, but the quality is much better and I don't have to get up so close to the camera to be in focus. A lot of function in a small package.
My PC had neither camera nor microphone - and I needed to join a series of zoom sessions. This compact device filled both needs very competently and I expect it will have more use in the future as on line consultations seem likely to be the coming thing. Great product. But bit of a faff to set up. Good help from Logitech.
Great video and sound. But have to download software from Logitech first. A bit vague. Had to get advice though cam showed up as working in device manager, it did not work. Logitech advised unplug and cam then uninstall drivers from device manager, restart pc then plug cam into different USB port. Worked fine from then on. LOGITECH Pro C920 Full HD Webcam Built-in microphone
Quality video recording and the addition of pan, tilt and zoom in motion detection mode is a fantastic bonus. Very happy with this cam as it can be used for more than Skype calls. It has a standard tripod threaded hole in the base so it can be mounted on a tripod [tripod adaptor mount required] You will need to visit the Logitech website and down load the required software to truly appreciate all the functions this cam can provide. For something a little bit different I used a 5m USB male to female cable to attach the the cam to my laptop while it was mounted on a tripod and right in front of a bird table, set it to motion detection [low is the most sensitive] and managed to capture some fantastic footage of Magpies, Ravens and Jackdaws feeding. The photograph I've uploaded is captured from the video I made. You really can't go wrong with webcam, it truly is perfect for your family needs, even for making videos for YouTube. Hope this has helped you decide.
