Assembly
Good item , however if a packing list had been enclosed it would have been a lot easier . There are 3 connectors - 2 of one type and 1 other - easy to connect them incorrectly. Took 30 minutes to get set up when really it should have been faster . Nevertheless it is probably the best make available .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Leaks constantly
Initial set up was fine, although the instructions were confusing, I managed to find a youtube video for this product which made assembly easier. After a few days we noticed that the reel became incredibly difficult, I'm not weak but it reached a point that I literally couldn't wind up the hose. We fully unreeled the hose as water was pouring out from the internal connection, we disconnected it and reattached thinking maybe had inserted in wrong, it did get easier to reel up the hose, although it still got stuck a few times. We tried the water again and it just blows the hose out of the connector and water gets everywhere. We can't seem to fix the issue and so it feels like £50.00 wasted.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy to remove and store for winter
When first opening the box I thought that there had been a screw up and parts left out, however all the pieces are cleverly packed away inside the unit in bags. Remove the hose and all the contents will be available. The instructions at first seem confusing as there is quite a bit of assembly required, read the instructions until it becomes clear how to assemble it, confusing at first but eventually quite simple. Once assembled it is a straight forward fix of the wall brackets, be aware when hung on the wall the unit does not swing aside and lay back flat to the wall, so if installing in a narrow passage you may have to remove to get past it. This is the case for me as while I can walk past it once hung I cannot get my mobility scooter past, however as it is so easy to remove with a simple unfastening of a clip it isn;t an issue. The hose is not frost proof so you will have to store in a shed / garage during the winter which due to the easy fitting and removal also isn't an issue. All in all I am pleased with the unit, I previously had a Hozelock auto recoil which never wind up easily, this unit though hand operated does wind up very easily and is half the price of the automatic recoil one.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good and easy to stow away
I bought this to use on my allotment and to stow in my shed there where space is at a premium. It is easy to use and quick to roll back into the casing, so just the job for my needs. Not especially cheap, but I have had one of these before and they are pretty sturdily built, so you pay for what you get. It’s a hose that stows away.
It’s a hose that does the job you would expect it to do. It comes with everything necessary to fit it to a wall, connect it to a tap and commence watering your garden. The housing, connectors and wall fixings are all constructed from robust plastic. Wall mounting is straight forward and operation is typical of a hose. I found the spray nozzle to be too basic to bother with. I use a multi function head with trigger grip. The winding of the hose after use us somewhat clumsy and, for me, counter intuitive. This is because the instructions indicate that you fit the handle in place before you proceed with fixing the housing on the wall. Because of the location I chose for my installation I put the handle on the right hand side. This means I have to turn the handle towards me to wind the hose back in. Once fixed in place the handle position cannot be changed! This is why I awarded four stars instead of five. If you’re interested in purchasing this product. Be prepared to pay out for a better spray head attachment. Consider carefully where you are going to site the hose before you attempt to assemble the product. The hose itself is good quality and so far it doesn’t kink and twist up on itself. Would I buy another one? Yes but only if I can get it at a bargain price. Compact and easy to relocate.
Hangs up on the wall (two such fittings supplied) or can be carried and placed on the ground. Easy to wind up etc. Mine was assembled in the factory slightly wrongly and so the winding up guide does not move as it should. I will take it apart and fix if this becomes bothersome. So much easier
I've had a standard free standing hose reel for years and finally it could hold together no more. I looked at the new stretchy hoses, but they are not recommended for jet washers so this was the neatest alternative. I like the fact it can be easily removed from its wall mount so is very adaptable. It was a bit of a pain to assemble it as the hose has to be removed from the reel and then re-wound, but the fittings are usual Hozelock quality as is the hose. The reel itself feels solid enough to last a few years and although the hose winds up anticlockwise which is a bit counter intuitive it works very well and no sign of any water leaking from the connections. 'Practical solution for wall mounting'
Good:- Easy to unwind /roll up with handle -pretty rigid assembly when wall fixed. hose and fittings(other than the end nozzle) are decent quality. Recommend you wall fix with the bottom of the casing at least 1M above ground level to avoid bending/stooping. Bad :-quite a bit of assembly work-you have to work out/identify what goes where by studying pics on packaging.I spent a lot of time puzzling over items supplied and then found a little package with one fitting stuck behind the pre-rolled hose in the casing! End spray nozzle could be better quality/design as spray pattern rather uneven/basic. You can get a different fitting i suppose but this is at the premium end and should be better -hence 4 stars!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Sturdy, good lenght and good value hose system
Got this as a replacement for a nearly 30 year old Cassette Hoze system that was now leaking due to wear. Saw this Hozelock 2 in 1 system for a good price on Ebay (around £13 cheaper that other main and online retailers) The kit comes with a housing to store the hose in and also comes with all the hose connectors and spray nozzle. I watched a video on youtube on how to assemble as the printed instructions were a little bit unclear. The kit also comes with outside wall mounting brackets and the screws and wallplugs.
