  • Huge lift in audio quality

Bought this cartridge after weeks of online research into a quality MM cartridge at a reasonable price. Had just acquired a new Akai BT500 turntable that came with an Audio Technica AT95E cartridge and I was not happy with the sound that this produced, just too sharp for my liking. Boy, what a difference the Nagaoka MP-110H cartridge made. Took me awhile to set it up correctly (clumsy old fingers-no fault of the cartridge) but it was worth the effort. Deep tight bass, clear highs and vocals that sounded like the singer was in the room. Very very happy with this fine cartridge and fully recommend.

  • cheap price to pay

Good solid unit, well packaged. Gained more detail on vocals & definitely give it lift. I heard a marginal increased in details when compared to my audio technica lp5 original without spending big. They say it's an entry level upgrade but for the price & gain i got, it sufficed my requirement. On the down side, just don't use theatre amp/ avr to play your music with ( if you're serious about it). Go back to the amp/ integrated amp to get the best. Output from avr is not the same from output for an int amp. enjoy

  • Technics + MP-110 = DY-NO-MITE!!! Sound!

The Nagaoka MP-110 is better than cartridges in the $300 - $400 price range. Very warm compare to more expensive Ortofon. My 55 year old ear can’t stand harsh highs. I have six turntables and I use this cartridge on my least expensive one in my bedroom to fall asleep to my classical collection. The Technics SL-1900 has no height adjustment but the MP-110 sounds exciting on it. I’ll be purchasing another one soon! PS: I’ve setting up turntables a very long time, so if you plan on purchasing one use YouTube setup videos to help. Happy Listening!

  • Great import cartridge.

Since these can only be gotten from Japan, they don't normally show up as an option for Audiophile use, but google the reviews and watch videos on Youtube showing comparisons. Dollar for dollar these stack up as good as or better than many more common name cartridges. Will NOT disappoint. Combine it with an external phono preamp such as the Schiit-Mani and you're really in for a treat!!!

  • Fantastic cartridge for a fantastic price

Been doing some research on this cartridge and I decided to get one for my turntable. Result is amazing. I love everything about it. Crisp, clear, punchy. And all for an amazing price.

  • Contender above it's class

This is one of the best mid-level cartridges on the market. It easily wins among audiophile cartridges in its price range. The cartridge + headshell combo tracks excellenty on my SL1200. With a recommended mounting distance of 49mm, I had to move forward 3mm. Bass is tight, mids are even and detailed, and while the top end is slightly rolled off, it retains its detail. This cartridge does reveal a hot recording...previously masked by my Ortofon 2m Red and Grado Green.

  • Nagaoka MP-110H

After many hours researching into which phono cartridge to choose for my upgrade, I settled on the MP-110. Luckily I found one of the 'H' variants for little more than the cartridge alone, so decided on that. Although the cartridge is still running in as it were, the sound is already well up to my expectations and probably even beyond. This is a fine sounding cartridge at a reasonable price. It tracks well on demanding pieces and is very worthy of consideration in the £100 to £200 price bracket.

  • Nagaoka MP-110h cartridge

Great sound for the price, warm, well controlled, vocals with good articulation, deep sound stage and good low ranges. The whole is very well balanced, high tones do not dominate, they are simply present. With a good tube amplifier, nothing to add, nothing to subtract. I highly recommend

  • Warm sound, wonderful, full soundstage

bought this to replace an Ortofon 2M blue on a Fluance RT-85 turntable. I wanted a warmer sound, and this cart absolutely delivered! it was plug and play out of the box, perfectly alingned, dead on! shipping was well packaged, and fast.

  • Great sound, but needs some adjusting

It comes mounted on a head shell,,but u will still have to align it with a grid protractor..just when when I thought I had it perfect,,4 or 5 records skipped here and there...so another few more tweaks, and it seems to be playing well now. Great musical sound...but plan on spending some time fine tuning.
