Really nice piece of kit
The expected high quality of an SW Motech product. Firstly, the new finish on their products is even classier than before in my opinion. This particular bag fits perfectly on the pillion seat of my BMW R1250RS, having an almost identical footprint to the seat itself. I know it will fit nicely on the BMW rack if/when I need to fit that too - the bag has an underside pocket into which the rear edge of the rack will slide to add extra security to the fitment. I particularly like the option of integral velcro straps which offer the easiest and cleanest method for securing the bag to the pillion seat itself - you just need to adjust the run of the straps carefully to avoid fouling the seat's securing mechanism, which is easy enough. There are also 4 straps with spring clips which attach to the bag via 4 integral plastic D rings, to allow an alternative fitment. Not as tidy and presents the possibility of causing abrasions to the bike's panels if not aligned carefully. The advantage over the velcro straps is that the bag may be unclipped quickly and removed, leaving the securing straps in place on the bike. Next, the size of the bag is, for me, perfect for day trips or a weekend away. The 7ltr configuration is low profile and very smart-looking. Perfect for visor cleaning gear, phone, sunglasses, lock etc. It also unzips to more than double the volume at 15ltrs. This is ample room for off-the-bike footwear, a set of 'normal' clothing, an extra layer and toilet bag, for instance. Lastly, hooray for the waterproof roll-top inner dry bag. No more messing with a baggy outer cover which can never be secured really well due to the straps getting in the way - also making it a faff to access the bag's contents. Really nice bit of kit. Not cheap but worth its price. Recommended.
