I've been on these things over the last 30 years and I have to say I like this model very much. The price on EBAY was great and I think well worth the extra 50 bucks over the average 100 dollar machines out there.. I have seen the product average 250 to 399 in some stores.... Pro's: Solid build, inversion rate control, ease of clamping and holding the feet for inversion and release when done and the use of memory foam for a comfortable table to be on its great. Con's: Only one, and they all seam to have it is the distance between the feet and the holding device. weather its the old foot collars with the hooks that would connect with the bars or newer styles and clamps, you still have to wiggle to get your feet into them into position. Personally an extra half inch would be nice even if it means I would slide down the table that half inch upon inversion!!! my 2 cents for improvement.. AS for the product, don't think its the lightweight stand you can chuck around the room with ease..like my old ones were.. Its solidly built with a nice thickness in the tubing walls for strength, but not too heavy overall.. To move EASILY you could simply take 2 bolts out and remove the table from the stand and move it quite easily......Now its not that HEAVY of a table and stand, you don't need to be Hercules to move it. Its just a bit bulky to move it by your self.. IT is very stable when assembled doesn't wiggle around, and gives you that "in home comfort" feeling when just hanging around the house. FOOT CLAMPS are about usual to me as with most inversion tables, its a little tight fit to slide your feet in between the clamping device BUT the ease of this systems "Clamping rod and pads action" makes up for this hands down. GETTING in and out is very very easy.... BALANCE of the table is quite good, as someone has taken the time to calibrate the persons height and somewhat weight, into the pin positions allowing the body length to be adjusted so that it is quite close. to the natural leaning back into the table and gently titling back into inversion..without rocketing back and also its the same when getting out of the table you can lightly grasp the handle bars and start the weight balance adjustment to re-invert you into the upright position.. you may have to adjust one pin up or down as my 5'10' weight may not be yours but is an easy adjustment. so that you find the SMOOTH reclining into inversion.. THERE is also a strap which can lock in the degree if inversion.. some people will not be ready orf feel comfortable with a direct flip to 180 degree's... the strap is mounted on the stand and hook into the table so that you can control the degree of inversion that you want..... if you have back pain you may want to stretch your way into inversion degree's, not go the full tilt the first try,and this table gives you the degree of adjustments to have a very stable inversion table with the ability to adjust balance of weight to inversion fall rate and controlled degree of total inversion...... INVERSION I have seen the more expensive tables but I think this table has all the necessary features for comfort, control of all inversion table features as described above, make it a great table for the cost.......

  • Very well packaged. Easy to assemble. Very secure, sturdy, and safe. Relieves and cracks back slowly and safely.

I have already enjoyed my IronMan Gravity 4000 table. Standard tables only support up to 300lbs and I wanted a table with better quality so I chose this one that supports 350lb. I am glad I did as it feels very safe and secure. It is well made. I weigh 280lbs. and have been doing reverse crunch situps on the table and it does not even wobble (very secure). I work out often and yet my lower abs were sore for days after performing this exercise. It hits you lower which is great because they are the hardest abs to develop. Packaging and assembly was very organized and quite easy. I have a drop ceiling in basement @ 7ft. There is a safety belt to set and keep you from inverting the whole 180 degrees which helps you gradually get use to equipment. I could only invert approximately 7/8 of the way before I was out of room to the drop ceiling tile. Fortunately, I was able to remove a ceiling tile which gave me plenty of room to fully invert. This adjusts up till 6'5" person so depending on your height you may need more clearance. I am 6'0 and needed about 7' 2" to fully invert. It is not necessary to fully invert so it still beneficial if your ceiling is 7' but I would not recommend any lower. In addition, start slowly by only inverting slightly. In the beginning you will feel like you are completely upside down but only at a 45 degree angle. Plus it takes some time getting use to the blood running to your head as it may cause dizziness. I recommend doing on an empty stomach especially if you suffer from heartburn or hernia. Very nice equipment to workout the abs or just hang for decompression relief. My back cracks all the way from neck down in a gentle way. Good Luck.

  • Excellent Inversion Table

I love this product from assembly to ease of use. It's construction is high quality and the motion is smooth and comfortable. I use it all the time, whether dressed up or in workout clothes. It doesn't matter. The machine is heavy because it's very sturdy which makes one feel more confident while going inverted. It collapses down for ease of relocating, though. Thanks very much!!

  • The best I have tried out

I have tried several inversion machines of my friends. When I tried out this one, that was it. Look no further. The best part is how it straps to the ankles. You really need to wear socks (I keep some heavy wool ones near by), but on others I have tried, not even socks can save you. I do wish it had some stops at different angles, but only because my husband and I both use it and I don't like to bother with changing the settings every time I use it. To optimize the balance it should be adjust for the individuals height and body center of gravity. Otherwise it is not as easy to tip back or forward. A lock at different angles would be a work around for constantly having to adjust between people of vastly different body types. There is an adjustable strap to keep you from tipping beyond your preferred angle, though. This is not a complaint, just an observation.

  • Best Money I Have Spent In Years!

I have been suffering from back problem for years. About 4 weeks ago I started to have extreme pain just above my hip level, in the center of my back. Standing up working for several hours a day has brought this on. It got to the point where I could not stand for more than about 30 minutes without severe back pain. I was about to seek medical help, but decided to do some research on line about possible other remedies, before going to see a doctor or chiropractor. When I started reading, I found lots of others with the exact same situation that I was in. After a lot of reading, I realized that "Inversion Tables" came up more than any other type of treatment. I started researching Inversion Tables. After several hours of reading and looking, I settled on the Ironman Gravity 400 Inversion Table. I ordered it on line, it came by UPS and I had the USP Driver actually bring it into my Living Room, as there was no way that I would be able to lift the 85 pound package. When I open the box, I did not believe the quality of the material of the Gravity 400!! It is so solid and firm, not the least bit cheaply built. It took me some time to get it assembled, due to my back pain, but I was able to get it all assembled in about an hour. I read the manual and cautiously got on it for the first time, having it set for about 45 degrees of tilt. It took several on and offs to get it adjusted so that I was balanced when laying flat. The first time I went all the way to 45 degrees of inversion, it was very concerning! Felt like I was going to end upside down! After the very first time of 5 minutes, I got relief from the severe pain that I had 5 minutes before. During that 5 minutes, my back snapped several times in different places of my spine. With each one I could feel a relief of pressure and pain. I have been using it twice a day for two weeks now, and I have absolutely no back pain at all! I can stand and work for hours on end, I feel tired, but the back pain is completely gone. Almost every time I use the Inversion Table, there is cracking somewhere in my spine, but it is getting less every day. An interesting side effect, that I have noticed, is that when I get off of the table I am about 2 inches taller then when I get on. Now after two weeks I have actually grown about three quarters of an inch. Must be the muscles in my back are getting retrained to keep the disks separated. I am 81 years young, and have been very active all of my life. It is hard to believe just how great I am feeling and I give the Ironman Inversion Table all the credit for making it happen. As I told my wife this morning, the is the best $200 I have spent in years. George Race - Albion, MI

  • IronMan Gravity 4000

I've had this for some time now but,I had'nt used it until today. I took my time putting it together and then had to move a bunch of things around in my basement where I have it. Part of my basement only has 6 &1/2 foot ceilings,so I moved it to where the height was around 7'. I'm 6'2" so I needed the extra height. I only stayed on it for about three minutes ,but my back actually felt pretty good when I finished. I also only reclined it back about 3/4 of the way back.I did'nt take it straight up and down. Seems like something I'll use daily.

  • Awesome product

My husband is using this product and it has significantly decreased the pain. We had an inversion table in the past but this table is much more sturdy and a better product. He believes that the lumbar support is great.
