Great drive and good burning speeds!
This drive supports up to 128GB Blu-Ray discs. I use it for data backups and it burns at a good rate. It is easy to burn using K3B in my Linux installation. It is also good for MakeMKV and putting my Blu-Ray discs into my Plex Media Server. Highly recommended drive!

Easy to install
I was impressed how easy this drive was to install. On my case it involved removing two screws on case, unplugging two cables, and removing old drive. Installation was the reverse. That's it! No special software or drivers. I run Linux Mint 17.2 for my operating system. So far I have read and burnt DVD's and read blu-ray’s. I have not yet tried to burn a blu-ray disc.

Inexpensive, fast, Blue Ray burner
This drive supports most disk formats out, is fast, and a great deal when on sale. It also is a deal because it's just the drive, no software, cables, or screws. If your buying a drive like this one you should already have all that anyway.

Fast & Accurate Audio-CD Ripping
Ripping CD's with EAC, the lazer has proven more accurate for scratched/damaged audio-discs than the one in my Plextor Prumium2. Fast too. Haven't used for BD-R burning yet. Faceplate looks very nice. Beware the newer versions of this drive if you care about looks.

Met a need
It is premature to write a review as I had but a limited time before the computer motherboard died and is presently being repaired. The brief time I was able to use it worked well. I did not have to try and find drivers to load. It worked out of the box without problems. It is being used as a replacement for an older DVD player that was longer in length.

Great Blu Ray Drive
Been using LG blu ray burners for years. Excellent drives. Burned a many a disc with them. Use good quality Discs and You will have no problem. I use Smartbuy Blu-Ray BD-R 25 GB 1-6x with no problems. You can get this on Ebay cheaper than you can buy DVD+R DL 8.5GB 8x Discs. Burner Blu ray Movies and Data discs.

this blue ray player went into an older Acer computer and when I play a blue ray disk sound is choppy and not in tune with the video. I will someday get a nice video card for it that may be able to handle the video.
