Cleans very well, but not so lightweight when tube fully extended and full of water. Still heartily recommend
Certainly does the job well.
Untill recently my window clean tool was a long reach telescopic pole with cloth head one side and squeegee the other. You had to dip it in soapy water bucket .It did a so so job but left streaks and marks.
This has a medium soft brush head one side and squeegee the other.
You either have to start by dipping the head in a bucket of soapy water ( washing up liquid ) or a small squeeze of washing up liquid on the head.Washing up liquid worked fine.
Once connected to a hose, water fills the telescopic tube till it emerges from the one hole at the brush head. Was worried that my water pressure may be too low at high reach, but it came out strong enough. Brushed up and down till window fully soaped then continued till all the soap began to wash away and window fully rinsed.Did not bother to squeegee, just left the window to drain and dry.
Result. Window free of marks ( spider poop ) and spiders. Mostly free of streaks. But have to be very fussy to want the windows crystal clear.Still better than or equal to to £10 or more paid to window cleaners.
Downside. Brush is at fixed angle so will not clean upper window sills. Heavyish because the water fills the whole tube. May not be easy for elderly to handle or lightly built ladies. The alternative is the more expensive versions that have a thin flexible tube that runs up through the middle of the pole reducing the volume of water held in the pole, but these have been noted to have problems of their own .
Yet to find out what the life span of this window cleaner is having used it only once so far. Aside from the weight of water that the pole holds while fully extended, You have to tighten by hand turning the joint seals at each junction of the pole to stop the water coming out. You are warned to dry the pole before putting it away, I assume to prevent corrosion of the metal ( alloy ) making the seals not so effective.
