Exactly what I wanted from an electric fire.
Flickering flame effect looks great on this fire, 100% improvement on the electric" log burner" I purchased last year which I have to say was pathetic and sounded like someone was sat in the back of it grinding up bones. Very pleased with this fire though and so worth purchasing if you want glowing coals and a decent realistic flame effect. Dogs are fooled by it even without the heat and lay out like planks of wood in front of it. Got this for the effect of a real fire and to use as a feature rather than a form of heating as we have radiators but it has a great heater on it as well with two heat settings, warms instantly and isnt loud like some electric fires can be. 10 out of 10 for this fire.. love it..Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Great looking fire for living room.
I love this fire as it makes my living room look very homely and is a great focal point. Very good price £160 from wowdiscountltd on eBay. Very fast and free delivery. The coal is real so wash and dry before putting on. Also use big coal pieces at the front of grate. The grate is plastic but looks like brass. Slight noise from flame but acceptable. Also slight noise from heater but this is to be expected as it is a fan heater. Fire has a small remote for putting flame on and off. Great price for a lovely fire.

Good fire and very easy to set up.
Good looking fire, realistic coals and very efficient regards heating our fairly large living room up, and in very little time too, the only hiccup is the noise that the fan emits, audible above the TV , but then again I do have good hearing. Excellent fire for warmth and flame effect
My gas fire broke, and it was awkward to switch on. So scanned E bay looking for a Good quality, reliable, economical to run, and to fit over existing fireplace. I decided on this model and it would cost £240. Had to wait until payday, glad I did as it was in AO black friday sale for £154 absolute bargain. Delivery no problem, I am a pensioner and managed to set it up , not too heavy. FABULOUS ELECTRIC FIRE.
The firelight is what I wanted. Really matters, rather than the heaters. The fire light is bright, with realistic flames at the back. The fire bed has REAL coal, for the authenticity. There is orange lighting underneath the coals which moves slowly, giving the effect of burning embers. NOTE. Before you put the coals in the tray, my advice would be to put them in a sieve, and brush them off, then place them, leaving all the tiny bits in the sieve. It is filthy. I love this cozy fire. Pure class!

Very nice looking fire , good heat output & great flame effect. Brass effect Grate is plastic but looks very realistic . Frame also plastic but doesn’t look like it but seems flimsy .The remote controls the flame effect but cant switch the heat off without switching off the flames ( need to use the manual switch ) Fire in permanent standby when plugged in but switched off & displays a red patch behind the glass front. Only way to disable this is to switch off at the wall socket. Fire looks much more expensive than it is , very good value & very pleased.

Decent Fire
Easy to set up. Comes with fittings if needs to be attached to a wall. The fan is a bit noisy, but when set up on thermostat isn't running for very long. The coals are packed separately in the polystyrene packaging so need to be added during set up - also real coal so you may need to wear gloves when adding them to the fire. The fire itself is flat backed so fits nicely against a wall or on a hearth.

Very nice and decorative electric fire, not to noisey on low heat but a bit more so on high. Looks nice with just flame effect. Would have been better if the coal bed was a one piece moulded affair instead of the bags of loose "coal", very messy. One star off for this... Great flame effect
Lovely fire ... fits into fire opening well and the black surround gives it a good size and shape. The coal is very effective as is the flame effect although the coal was very dusty after rubbing in transit and must be rinsed before placing in the fire basket. The heater is effective but the fan is rather noisy but that's unavoidable of course. I mainly bought it for the flame effect and I am very pleased with it.
