Great wheels for a fair price!
I am loving the Bontrager wheels. Previously I had been riding a basic pair of box section aluminum wheels. These are a significant upgrade! They are wide, stiff, and comfortable. They absorb the bumps in the road better than my previous wheels. What I like best about them is they spin up to speed quickly and they hold their speed with less effort. A real joy to ride! The one negative I can say about them is the braking. I have paired them with the SwissStop Black Prince, an approved set of pads by Bontrager. I’m getting a bit of brake squeal on the front when braking very hard, despite towing in the pads. It’s not happening frequently, just on the bigger descents. I will be trying to tow them in some more or try out Bontrager cork pads. The braking performance is slightly worse than my aluminum wheels, but it’s not significant.
