Another great Leatherman model
Like all Leatherman products, this is another sturdy, well-made tool. I bought this to complement the Wingman which I have carried daily for about 5 years. (And which is still holding up just as well as day I got it.) The Sidekick has a slight change in the tool set, most notably it has a small saw blade instead of the Wingman's scissors. The knife blades are also a bit different. I got this Sidekick as I moved to a more rural area, and the saw blade will come in handy for cleaning up loose branches and deadwood on occasion. Note that Leatherman products also come with a 25 year warranty and are made in the USA. The sheath is also a nice bonus, although the pocket clip is also very good on these tools. Great little gadget - all the stuff you need.
Great, solid little muititool! This Leatherman is just like the Wingman, with nearly identical tools including the spring loaded pliers (biggest feature), but main difference is a saw instead of scissors. Also, instead of the plastic packaging opener, it has a mini-serrated blade and the large primary blade is non-serrated, vs the Wingman, which is a combo (at least for the 3-4 versions I have had). Can't do hardly anything without it!
I've always had a Leatherman since they were first produced. My son worked in a factory where they made them and sent me one. It's been a love affair ever since. I cannot go a half dozen hours, much less a full day, without reaching for it. Everything I do, outside or inside, I find a use for it, ...and some of them pretty unconventional. Leatherman Sidekick is a good value!!
For the money, I think the Leatherman Sidekick is a great value for the money in the multi-tool field. Can you buy cheaper, that may break or not be covered by warranty......Yes.
