These brackets are only suitable when mounting the shelf onto a solid brick or breeze block wall or directly into the timber studs of an internal plasterboard wall.

Good quality concealed shelf supports
These shelf supports were much heavier duty and better quality than I had expected as I only wanted them for small corner shelves in my kitchen. The shelf will support far more weight than I could ever fit on to it.

Too short
The screw part is too short. It should be at least 6cm long to secure it to the wall of an older building. The designers are only looking at people who have new homes with standard walling however many people in the UK live in older homes with more traditional walls.
