AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core (FD8350FRHKBOX) Processor. Once the fastest processor on the market, it's base clock speed still exceeds the latest Ryzen models. Both are in perfect working order. The only thing bad about the AMD FX-8350 was the noisy fan, which I have not included.

    Great Collector Part

I think the FX series chips were a good start into new territory culminating in the Ryzen processor series. This chip is a great performer in the series, released in 2012, and makes a wonderful collectable. I put this in a new system for a PC showcase. It works as expected, runs at full speed consistently, and has no issues. Compared to Intel of the time these processors failed to deliver but this chip works similar to an i7-2600 (2011). An Intel system of this era would be a better choice for performance. I just like these AMD products from a historical perspective. The thermal limits are a low (65C if I remember correctly) so a good cooling solution is a must have with this product.

Good part, packaged and sent terribly

The processor with pins was taped in between a pair of folded note cards. And then put in a bubble wrapper. The pins were bent on a whole side when I got it. The processor took 45 minute of delicate work before it would seat in the socket. The bubble wrapper is of the most basic kind and provided limited protection. The addition of some foam or more careful covering would have prevented this pin damage. The part would have been unusable if I had an unsteady hand.

  • Good quality for the price.

Unlike my FX 8320 that I had prior to this, and it has performed as I expected. Fit in a lot easier into the socket and unlike the old heat sink this one transfers heat a lot better.

  • solid performance from an older cpu

great cpu. a now older but very reliable work horse for 8 core cpus. much better then the fx 8320 that I was using. I use it for high end video gaming. division 2, skyrim, assassins creed origins and odyssey as well. world of tanks, world of warships and war planes. I run all of them in maximum graphics setting with an NVIDIA 1050 ti running great.

  • Works awesome, didn't cost an arm and a leg

Bought this as a small upgrade from my fx6300 along with a new gpu. Was planning to give the build to my girlfriend and start a new one. But with these upgrades I've found I can probably game for another couple years out of this setup. Would've given this 5 stars but since it was bought second hand and never used, the box and contents smelled strongly of cigarettes. It took a couple days for the smell to air out but it's working great and I have no other complaints. The seller even transferred the extended warranty for the CPU so that's really great.

  • Old Horse power can work

Trying to get the last drop out of the old system. I went from FX8120 to this FX8350 and it made a noticable differance. Heat? yes, aded the Cooler Master 212 to assist in that. GFV play well with this CPU and am XFX RX 570 8GB card Cinebench score went from 711 to 1185 no OC (Yet)

  • works good

At first go Bios CPU heat jumped to 69c. I used my existing AMD 965 heatsink that proved to be clogged. Clog was hidden by its fan which required gentle plastic clip prying to remove. Would caution anyone to look under the fan regardless of other clean indications.

  • Great product but weird packaging

Due to the packaging they sent, it looks like some of the pins were bent, but when I straightened them out, it seems to be working fine so far. I'm just not going to touch the CPU ever again out of fear of the pins breaking which is fine with me. This was going to be my last CPU upgrade until I get a new computer altogether. Honestly at the price I'm happy with the product, just wish the packaging was a bit better.

  • Great cpu

These are great little powerhouse cpu's. They run a little warm but properly cool them and they are great. They game good and run apps good. Dont listen to the naysayers. These are good processors.
