Resolved my earth loop hum on Unbalanced RCA connections in Home Music Studio.

Kills hum totally; sound is transparent and clean, but bass is attenuated !
In respect of noise elimination, it does the job perfectly. An annoying hum and a whistle was completely eliminated by this. BUT... For my HiFi it was apparently 'transparent' in general, but it clearly had a roll-off at lower frequencies. Bass was definitely attenuated by this device. I believe it is because of impedance issues. Bass was lighter as though I had turned the bass control down. This was escpecially noticed on organ and synthesiser music. The frequency response gives a clue: this device starts at 40hz, but the ones I had been using for my other HiFi had a frequency response that went down to 20hz. That is clearly significant. Also, the DC resistance of the windings was much lower on this device: it was ~150 ohms, whereas my other isolators were much higher: 350ohms. The others had an impedance of 20kohms; but the impedance for these devices is not stated.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
