Great value
Unit came well packed and no damage was visible. Fitting was made especially easy as you don't have to remove a whole back plate to fit the body of the unit. There is a convenient little panel to remove, behind the lamp, for electrical connection. In use the lamp is white withiut being "daylight" white and is not excessively bright. I thought that the pull cord was not very long but in my situation the unit has been fitted above a cupboard door with the hinges on the same side as the pull cord and the cord is not so short that it gets dragged behind the cupboard door when it is opened. The shaver socket gets a good hold on the plug of my electric toothbrush charger. All in all this fitting is IMHO a solid piece of kit and good value for the purchaser price.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Excellent bright white light,
Really nice bright lite . Wiring would have been easy if my power had come from centre instead of from the right ! Still with a bit of work to back of light and wiring all done .Just to let anyone know if your fitting holes are around 7 in you will be able to fit in no time , if it wasn't for change of wiring I could have fitted in less than 30 min .lets hope the bulb lasts a while.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good choice - bright light from a low energy shaver light (CFL - compact fluorescent)
It's hard to get a decent low energy bathroom shaver light - this is one of the better ones. The alternatives: - The 60W tungsten tube type that are still being sold are not bright, not low energy and not worth buying. - The various halogen options are better, but are more power hungry than CFL and not always bright enough. This Eterna model has a genuine low energy bulb (it's very long and shaped like a trombone slider) and the light from it is good. It is neat and tidy looking and at the same time functional, what more is needed. It is better than older ones which had a tubular filament lamp: brighter and less electricity usage. Excellent Product!

Replaced after 10 years.
I had this exact model in my bathroom for 10 years until the light failed. From the outset I could only plug my shaver into the 240v socket, the other was jammed, but that didn’t matter and the light was nice and bright. Not sure why the light failed as a new tube didn’t fix it, so I bought the exact same model as it was simple to swap over, and I now have a spare tube. So pleased to find a direct replacement ...
