Nice part for adapting aftermarket cooler
I bought this based on web report that it could be used to adapt old CoolerMaster V8 CPU cooler (designed for AM3) to AM4 CPU. Apparently my cooler is wider than that guy's since I don't think this part got narrower over time, but I have a plan to make it work. This kit is a nice part, though, with reasonable thickness frame and good plating (could have used a little polishing before plating to be superlative, but up to contemporary standards). The only thing lacking, I think, is no guidance how tight to snug the mounting/turnbuckle screws to properly press the cooler onto the CPU. Does work like its supposed to. Holds my 212 plus securely and was pretty easy to install. Make sure you're OK mounting your heat sink horizontally, it does not allow for vertical installation. Does exactly what it is supposed to, letting me use my Hyper 212 Evo Cooler on my AM4 mobo. For those of you looking for something to let you use that cooler with a 2700x CPU on an AM4 Mobo, this work wonderfully. Plus it is SO much better then the stock mounting system since it uses thumbscrews instead of just pure tension, which can lead to frustrating fights to get the cpu cooler installed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
