Solar power and waterproof if you leave it out and it starts raining . This is the second one I bought for my daughter camping . A great outdoor speaker with blue tooth.

Not a survival radio ,not even close
Well, it's the price, for what I got, I was fixing to send it back because it took a week to charge the battery up.The weather station reception is very weak, and the radio reception is barely strong enough. Bluetooth works fine. I would be happier if I only paid $50 for it because it's not exactly a field radio, or a survival radio, I bought a Midland survival radio that has no problem with channel reception for only $30. I just use the Ion radio for a bedside Bluetooth speaker when I'm using my tablet, it's no where a survival radio and would like to redeem $50 of the $100 that I was over charged for it
