Does what it says it does and easy to use. One problem is it has 2 ports, yet no where in does it say what the second port is.
It works well. However, the description should explain why it has 2 ports. Nowhere in the documents does it say the second is a lightning port. I discovered this by trial and error. Secondly the picture on its box does not correspond to it, unless it is daisy chained as it shows 2 units. This doesn’t make much sense though as in the pic the 2 units do not look the same and the one connected to monitor does not look like the unit, whereas the other stylised one does.. All wired up correctly but couldn't watch anything because all it said was 'will resume video when your device has a better wireless connection'. Does exactly what it says on the tin
I've tried cheaper models in the past which weren't reliable, either didn't work or relied on additional power. This official one doesn't require power but does have the option to charge if you want and it just works. It's a great tool for *mirroring* your screen - reasonable quality for showing full screen video on a large screen but still at "retina" level so sometimes pixellated depending on the app and content. Worked fine - can take a few second to start working correctly when connected up. Used with iPhone 13 Pro and older iPad Air. The adapter gets a little warm in use. Apple Lightning AV Adapter (MD826ZM/A). The most convenient adapter.
The advantage of this adapter as opposed to buying one of the cheap adapters, is that there isn't isn't a need to provide a power supply for it to work. I found it very convenient to use when plugging the ipad into the tv. Just the job
I bought this to replace one I had lost. I had bought a cheap imitation and learnt my lesson. The only adapter that seems to function correctly is a genuine Apple adapter. This functions brilliantly. I can mirror my iPad on TV and projector. With the right app I can use a screen as a whiteboard, show PowerPoint and so much more.
