The Ultimate Die Hard Companion Piece
Coming on the heels of Ghostbusters and Back to the Future Ultimate Visual History books, this is another impressive book covering the Die Hard series and spinoffs plus various merchandise tie ins. Its a thicker big book replete with lots of information and plenty of photographs, including some unseen behind the scenes look, I have only read part of the book, but it contains some very interesting like did you know that the title Die Hard was actually the original title for Shane Black then unproduced script which would become 1991 The Last Boy Scout. Black allowed uber producer Joel Silver to use it when he was looking at a title change from Roderick Thorp's original novel Nothing Lasts Forever - which had been a sequel to the 1968 Frank Sinatra movie The Detective. My only gripe is that I may have purchased this a bit too early as the title is now available at a cheaper price. But definitely a must read for Die Hard fans and nicely timed for the film's 30th Anniversary.
