Filled to the brim with dust!
I got this card (Vega 56) in the mail today and threw it in my system. At first it was performing amazing and then the temps rose rapidly, over 85 degrees Celsius after about 15 or so minutes of playing. I then took it out of my pc and examined it. The blower fan was covered in dust. When I opened the card up is was FILLED TO THE BRIM WITH DUST! I’m not kidding. The heat sink was filthy as well. The thermal paste on the core was incredibly crusty and the thermal pads on all the other parts were crumbling off. There was even rust on two parts by the power connectors (I don’t know what those parts are called). I hope when I go get thermal pads and put it back together. The temps will come down, but right now I’m beyond angry. I will attach some pictures after I cleaned it, I’m still not done. The only reason that I’m giving it 2 and not one star is because the card does turn on and was sent out quickly.
