Overall...not an awful sports camera purchase
It looks like a GoPro and works like a GoPro...but the image quality explains why it is 1/4 the price of a comparable GoPro (HERO 2). The 4K must be an "interpolated" 4K, because it does NOT look like a 4K image should...BUT...I did a side-by-side comparison (against a GoPro HERO 2, at 1080) and if you don't look too closely, some of the video footage (from the AKASO EK7000) had surprisingly better contrast and richer color than the HERO 2 (in daylight conditions). Image stability is non-existent. Setting the AKASO at 4K is still less image quality then the HERO 2 (set at 1080...since the HERO 2 does NOT shoot in 4K). The AKASO LCD display is helpful (for composing and monitoring). It came with ample accessories for above ground and underwater use. OVERALL...IF YOU'RE ON A BUDGET, it's worth the $70 selling price, as long as your image needs are not critical...BUT...you can find used HERO BLACK 7, 8, or 9 models for less than $200 and they are TREMENDOUSLEY BETTER SPORTS CAMERAS.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Awesome, even if refubrished
I bought 2 akaso ek7000 1 refubrished and 1 new(both in different times.) The new and the refubrished work the same , the refubrished was exactly like the new only had 1 tiny tiny tiny scratch near battery opener not even noticible. The cameras work great. The audio needs to be more better but that is akasos problem(not that god at audio but awesome video).Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great alternative to the high priced GOPRO

Overall is pretty good for the most, volume playback could be better. Hard to hear unless voices are very loud, but for the price I can't complain. If you buy two of these beware that if someone performs a function (take a pic)with the remote and your camera is on too it will also take one from yours too. says refurbished, but feels and works like new. never use 4k, always use 1080p @ 60fps. tends to shut down and overheat in 90f weather with no wind.. just like a gopro removed the latch for quick access to battery, which lasts ca. 45min. always use the sdcard, never the ports, the break easily. recorded sound is so-so, but not a dealbreaker for me. I never use the wifi, never use the remote, always use it on a headband, without case, even during rain. never let me down except in 90f+ weather.. great camera for the perfect price. I can smash it and buy a new one without crying over a gopro investment. *** wish I could update the firmware though, but then again.. Good sports camera
I bought this to go hunting/fishing. Also found great deal on GoPro hero 7 white. Akaso come with 2 batteries with option to buy more meaning more recording/viewing time. Gopro has internal battery. Image and app is better on Gopro but that’s to be expected. And GoPro has better stabilization capability. Again expected. Can buy 3 or more of these for price of gopro and unless you plan on being a TikTok or you tube star they are well worth the under $50 you can find them for. Go Pro Quality for a Fraction of the Price
I purchased this camera to use with my videography set up. I have some vehicle mounted cameras and wanted to have a couple 'throw away' cameras. I have tried several other brands and this by far is the best camera for the money out there. The video quality is great and the audio quality is good as well. You cannot beat the camera for the price.

Nice.... action cam
I bought a action cam several years back and it was the best thing I did... was only 18.00 and did everything a GoPro did and had a built in screen... Well little did I know that my first action cam was like winning the lottery, because the next 3 were garbage... then I came across this camera and reviews were good and it was $24.00 ... I was wanting one to use as dash cam.... I love it... heavy, sturdy construction... easy to follow instructions....(A DEFINITE PLUS)) clear image good sound... I’m not sure how much I trust the waterproof claims...(????) but I’m using it as a dash cam so I’m good.... I may be place unnecessary caution where it’s not needed.... One thing I definitely want to say is it has a internal chargeable battery...( I don’t like that bc once it dead your filming is over till you recharge it... once again I’m using it as a dash cam so I’m good... but for $24.00 just buy 2...
