Product license for Microsoft Office 2016 Home/Student
This is a review of the specific license product, not a review of Microsoft Office 2016. I was a little skeptical about sellers advertising genuine licenses for Microsoft Office, Windows 10 and other products at extremely competitive prices. However, in this case, somewhat to my surprise, I was able to activate the product at Microsoft without problems. To make it clear, the only thing you get when you purchase one of these license-only eBay products is a license number delivered within minutes to your e-mail address. Nothing more. You need then to create a Microsoft account if you do not already have one (this is obligatory to install the product, not optional), register the license number, download the installation file and run it on your computer. You should do it with a fast Internet connection without surcharges, because it is a large download. Aside from this, as long as you allow Microsoft Office to periodically call home to verify the license and download updates, nothing else is required. I only need Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and these products are by now so stable that even in 2019 the 2016 version is doing everything I need. I don't use One Note (included in the student version), and gave up on Access (not included in this version) many years ago because the Access programs that I wrote for my science library were continuously broken by changes that Microsoft was frequently introducing). To be fair, I believe that Microsoft allows you to install this type of Office license on only one computer. Period. If you change PC, you cannot move the license to the new machine. Not good at all.
The installation process was inadequate. I still haven't installed this as the process I just couldn't understand, because I get stuck at the same point over and over again. I took a detour when installing this and got connected to SKYPE in a European language I don't understand and it was very difficult to delete this. Easy to set up and worth the money
Even for a not particularly tech-savvy person like myself, this was easy to install. Yes, you might find it handy to have a pen and paper at the ready for recording a long series of code numbers, but the actual setting up of the programme is straight forward. Even I Managed to Install It!
Was a bit nervous about installing this and I did have problems finding the different apps on my laptop. I thought it hadn't worked at first but followed Microsoft's help guidelines that told me to type in the app description in the windows search and they would come up. Once I'd done this for each one I was able to create a shortcut to my desktop - problem solved. Easy to install, lovely price, meets my needs nicely
I am studying on line and have been advised/requested to use Word to present my work. The shop price is ridiculous and made me think twice about purchase but i needed a copy. A good product
It is hard to use microsoft office on windows then on a Macbook Pro. Some settings are in slightly different places. Maybe I am just inexperienced however as an example the drop down tabs in windows are not present on a Mac. It is possible they are in another place. I am finding it hard learning 2 systems in one go.
