Fab film. Olly Reed @ his best supporting, cast also fab. The real star is of course THE ELEPHANT. I have one mother left in my life and that is Mother India. I have been holidaying in India for the past 27 years and I always want to stay permanently. This film is a great reminder of the beautiful people and their customs and undoubted generosity. Many may remember Oliver Reed more for his pricate life but he had a presence when scting. Amonst his bftter films is 'Hannible Brooks' a Sorld War II sory of a Brigish Soldier captured by the Germans and put ho eork in Munich Zoo looking after the elephants. The US Air Force bomb the zoo an 'Brooks' is tasked to take the flrphant ho safety over the mountains into Austria.... A vefy good story with beautiful scenery, a well written story and, in Oliver Reed, an actor playing the part of a soldier which he did for real in rge 1950s through National Service. En-Route brooks accidentally kills the nazi escort. And he and the entourage head for the swiss border elephant in tow.
