Excellent for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi features a nice bonus.
I bought this to replace a really crummy ultra cheap Bluetooth audio adaptor. I went for the Jongo instead of Chromecast Audio so that I wouldn't be tied to specific apps. It works great as a Bluetooth adaptor and only connects to media audio, unlike the cheap one before it. Setting up the Wi-Fi did take quite a few attempts for some reason, but I persevered and now I can stream radio stations and music from my PC too, which is a great bonus considering the price paid. But, while I can browse music on my PC, I don't seem to be able to search for specific titles held on my PC using the Pure app, but this might just be a problem specific to my network setup. You can do it the other way around - find music on the PC and then cast it to the Jongo which would be a simple solution if the PC wasn't in another part of the house. There is room for improvement in the app - browsing music on a PC is kind of slow and it keeps going back to the beginning of the alphabet (could do with caching it up in the background or something). But for the price, and intended purpose, it would be wrong to complain! Does not work with BT hub 5
Thought this was a great idea, but was sorry to discover that the Pure does not work with the BT hub 5. Apparently no fix has been made since the hub 4 which might indicate that Pure are no longer interested in this product. Shame.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
