Took some work, but a great guitar.
This guitar was unplayable out of the box. It could not be intonated as the bridge was too close to the fingerboard and the saddles could not travel back far enough, even with the springs removed. I moved the neck out 1/4", redrilled the neck holes and screwed the neck back on. Now it would intonate. The neck had to be shimmed, the nut was cut too high (not unusual), the sharp fretboard edges were rolled, the sharp fret sprout filed, etc. Once set up, it played and felt great. The wire to the jack was wrapped around one terminal so I took it apart and ran the wire right. The pickups sound pretty good. I replaced the chrome trem arm (which didn't fit the black theme) with an all black one.

Assault weapon for the axe men
this guitar is fun to play, and people think its cool. It is super light weight and because of the shape, it lacks in tone. I put on a heavier gauge string on 11-48 to compensate for its tonal set back I think with the right guitar pickup combo, and a pro guitar set up, it will give the guitar more desire to play. Also found a raised 3rd fret that had to be filed down slightly, and it was a tricky job, that should be done by a professional. you dont want to take too much of the fret down. over all it is a cool guitar for the money, and if you play heavy music this is your axe!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
