Not suitable for purpose.
I purchased these as an alternative to buying straw for my strawberries. It seemed a good idea to put a collar around them, the instructions said to place on a level surface, the problem I encountered was that when watering or it raining the water sat on the mat so the strawberries sat in water, I had to tilt the mat so the water ran off. I had used these also for some bedding plants that had flowers that were touching the compost, again the same thing happened and the flowers were soaked when it rained or were watered. I could only solve the problem by tilting the mat or raising the plants off the mat, which seemed to defeat the object of buying them. As all my plants are in containers, putting gravel around them works better but more expensive.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Do the job
