Great way of doubling up a socket.
This must be the simplest way of changing from single to double. Note that the connection holes are big enough, and I found I had to fold my wires a couple of times to ensure a good grip. Access for securing the connection screws is a little angled and could be tricky, albeit I did manage ok. All in all, this unit is good quality and looks great when installed. The price was really good. I would certainly use this system again, I am really pleased with this purchase.

Good idea but poorly executed
First the good part it does what its meant to do in replacing a single socket with a double. Now the bad part the screws supplied were too big for my old socket so I had to reuse my old screws. Who on Earth decided to put the screw covers on so the first thing you had to do was to screw the screws at the back to get the covers off. Screw covers though aesthetically pleasing mean if you want to remove the socket in the future you can't so I left them off. I wasn't overly impressed with the quality of the sockets either. While fitting them it felt like they may crack. The old adage you get what you pay for comes to mind. They do the job which is the main thing.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Single to double socket straight exchange
This is a very quick and simple replacement solution replacing a single outlet to a double switched outlet using the same cables lengths and screw fixings. There is no need to change the flush back box from a single to double and is not so deep as placing a surface box over the flush single box and needing to extend the cable to connect a new switch socket.
