Vox amplug cabinet
This little cabinet can be attached to a Vox amplug - there are different types: Classic Rock, Lead, Bass, AC-30, Metal, etc.. - and makes a very easy to use, very small but loud, practice amp for electric guitar (or bass). The 9 volt battery for it must be brand new, otherwise one will get feedback and interfering noise. Not sure how much they are in shops, but on eBay I found it quite cheap. The amplug itself is very useful: one can play guitar full blast, with distortion, etc.. without an amp or pedals, just the amplug and headphones, and it sounds quite good and loud. With the cabinet it makes an almost pocket-size practice amp with a good sound. Good to see Korg (who own the original Vox brand, which went bankrupt in 1970) keeping the Vox products going, and also the Vox tradition of not just manufacturing musical instruments but of inventing new ones (such as the Vox Continental (and later the Vox Jaguar and Corinthian organ models) - the first portable electric organ, the Vox Escort amp (the first "busking" amp), the Vox AC-30 amp, or the Vox wah-wah and fuzz pedals in the 1960s, etc.. etc.. The Vox amplug, plus cabinet, is a welcome addition to their catalogue of unique musical instruments.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
