This can also be used as a canopy to provide shade over an outdoor dining area or even as a hot tub shelter. This product features a guttering system perfect for capturing and collecting rainwater which you can use for your garden.
I was fed up with my gazebo roof tearing and becoming discoloured having to remove the covering during winter so I looked for something more permanent and the Palram Arcadia 5000 more than fulfils all of my requirements. A very well engineered strong piece of kit. With a flat base prepared and following the instructions two people could put it together in under a day. Having said that the initial 3 packages off the lorry are almost impossible to move and need 4 people to move them or empty them at the drop point.
My wife has already started to train plants up the supports and was trying to claim it for a drying area when not in use for sitting out but I have also been trying to annex it to my workshop for sawing large lengths of wood which were difficult to work on in the workshop, I have also already used it for paint spraying furniture.
We are considering installing a hot tub in the future the uses for it are endless, you can add garden sails to the sides or ends to give additional protection from the elements.
Firstly I was impressed by the packaging. It is designed to fit snugly into 3 packages. The instructions were located in the box containing the roof sheets - the last one you would normally open. I liked the fact that each bag of nuts and bolts are clearly labelled as is each part of the structure. The instructions were easy to follow and the main structure went up very quickly even working on my own with a little help from a few ropes. The most difficult part I found was fitting the roof sheets and fitting the very small screws that secure each roof sheet to the gutters. Although I managed to build it up all on my own, I would not recommend it. And follow the instructions to the letter.
Well made kit, was easy to assemble but you do need to follow the instructions carefully and two people is the minimum requirement. Looks great and performs well. I would wholeheartedly recommend this carport.
Guttering is integral but there are no downpipes in the kit.
