One of the most exciting parts of the "Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy" television show is the Zord combination scenes. You can relive this excitement with the Bandai Power Rangers Lost Galaxy Deluxe Galaxy Megazord action figure. This figure, released in 1999, will tower over your other toys due to its height. The Power Rangers: Lost Galaxy Deluxe Galaxy Megazord is comprised of five robots. The individual robots are fully articulated. These five robots combine to create one giant robot that is almost a foot tall. In addition to the robots, this set also includes a sword and the instructions. Unlike other toys, which are primarily made of plastic, the Deluxe Galaxy Megazord is almost 50 percent metal. The Lion Galactazord creates the upper body of the combined robot. Featuring metal in his rear legs and head, he is sturdy enough to hold the arms of the robot in place. The Condor Galactazord is almost 50 percent metal and can function as either a weapon or a backpack. This robot is also one of the few individual robots with an action feature. Press the button on its back, and the Condor will flap its wings. The Gorilla Galactazord forms the lower half of the combined robot. Even though it features no die-cast metal, the plastic is still sturdy. You won't need to worry about the combined robot toppling over on your shelf. The remaining two members are the Wolf Galactazord and the Wildcat Galactazord. These robots form the right and left arm of the combined robot. Both of these beasts feature articulated jaws that open and close. Even without the instructions, combining the five Zords together is an intuitive and straightforward process. The individual robots snap together using a peg-based system. Once snapped in, the pegs will keep the pieces of the robot securely in place. The robot is easy to disassemble but not so easy that pieces will fall out during intense play. When combined, the Lost Galaxy Megazord robot, at over 10 inches tall, will tower over your other action figures. The Power Rangers Lost Galaxy Megazord figure features two powerful weapons. The Galaxy Megazord Saber is a rubber-based weapon that can attach to either fist of the Deluxe Megazord. The cannon, made from the Condor Galactazord, can also be held in either fist. Like other Power Rangers toys, the combined mode features two points of articulation in the arms. The arms can move up and down, letting you place the robot in a battle-ready stance. This robot looks good with both other Lost Galaxy figures and older Power Rangers toys. Even though the combined form is loaded with die-cast metal, it's surprisingly lightweight. You won't need to worry about children injuring themselves due to the weight of the figure. Also, its lightweight nature makes it ideally suited for display cases or bookcases. This Bandai action figure makes an excellent gift whether it's for Christmas or some other holiday.
