BLUE NOSE 576 The Bluenose schooner has a very special place in the history of navigation and yachting. Built for fishing off the coast of Newfoundland, the ship soon proved to be such a fast sail that it won all the great classic regattas along the east coast of the United States. It was built in Nova Scotia in 1921 and was shipwrecked near Haiti in 1946. An authentic copy - Bluneose II - was launched on the market in 1964.
