ANDREA GAIL 608 The Andrea Gail, an uninspected commercial fishing vessel sailed from Gloucester Harbor, Massachusetts on September 20, 1991 with six crew members aboard. The crew intended to go on a swordfish fishing trip in the Grand Banks area of Newfoundland, Canada. The ship and six crew members remain missing and are presumed to be missing at sea due to a severe storm, defined by a meteorologist as the "perfect storm" and made famous by Sebastian Junger's book (the book was later transformed into a Hollywood movies).
