Had portisol in the past great product. There are many gas soldering irons out there, but but you’re better off going for the original and the best. I have had the same item for at least 10 years, it just wore out from constant use. I look forward to many more years of a quality item suitable for the job that it is intended for. This item is so versatile, just in its portability, let alone the fine soldering work it does. The attachment used for heat shrink is an added bonus, along with the heat shield which is used on heat shrink in very tight places. Shrinks the tubing all round in one hit.
