They are what it says - couplings complete with pockets and they are exactly the same as fitted to Bachmann stock. Replacement short coupling

Coupling model railway vehicles.
All NEM style couplings are on the dear side for what they are regardless of manufacturer. For something that is supposed to be a standard, a definitive height it is not, hence the use of cranked or straight couplings, short or long.
