    Sturdy and looks well made

Bought this as a DIYer. It's fairly heavy but balanced and easy to use and appears to be of good quality. Have only used it a couple of times but it's exactly what I needed to cut through mortar joints and bricks in order to remove a few old cracked bricks, a task which it performed adequately. Hasn't shown any particular signs of wear so I'm hoping it will last a good while yet. Does the job for a very reasonable price - more than happy with my purchase.

    Excellent product

Although the saw cuts through masonry like butter, the issue I found with it was that was one of the carbide tips actually broke off and another was worn down - after only one job. So although it cuts very well (even through concrete and brick) - don't expect it to have a long life. Great for small jobs and so I guess you get what you pay for. A little tip - go larger on the saw than you think you might need as it will make your life a bit easier.

  • Good on soft block

At the price good for soft block wouldn't use on brick.I bought it to do gable walls on a new property (all durox block) did the job well enough !

  • tough looking saw that couldn't do the job.

I bought this saw to cut through brickwork to open up a window into a doorway. Possibly it was designed to cut soft breeze block or lightweight bricks, it certainly wasn't up to cutting old imperial solid brick.

Good for cutting Thirmalite blocks and handy size for tool box

  • Cheap & cheerfull

OK for a DIY person. Speaking as a bricklayer, I find it too "jumpy", as the carbide cutting tips are on every other teeth. On the one I ordered there was one carbide tip less than stated, so enlarge the picture and count them! Personally, for a professional, I would recommend paying more & get one with carbide tips on all the teeth.

  • There are better masonary saws out there

struggled raking out lime mortar with it.. would probably be ok cutting thermalite blocks doubt if it'd cut through anything stronger
