Pleasantly suprised!
Was very surprised at how good this rifle was. I thought I would get a "starter rifle" and decided on the cheaper "Wildcat Whisper" instead of the more expensive rifles, but was set on Gamo. I was excited to say the least when I started shooting it. The 4x32 scope was just "OK" at best. Could barely see the red dot on my target at 30 yards. I opted to get another scope, Leapers UTG 6-24x50, and was extremely glad I did. The rifle is accurate and a lot of fun to shoot. It may not be as powerful as some of the other rifles but gets the job done. I live in a neighborhood and have had no complaints about me shooting. It seems to be just the right amount of sound, not a click and not a loud bang either. For me, just right. Would recommend the rifle!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I like the rifle, but I purchased to kill squirrels that were getting in my house. I shot several squirrels, in some cases, several times. No kill.
If you want this rifle to hut squirrels, don't buy it. I used three different types of pellets and none worked. Even head shots didn't kill them. I shot one three times and he still ran away. If you are using it for target practice, great.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fun plinker/not THAT quiet/fine for the price
I agree with one of the other buyers: It's not THAT quiet. I've always wanted a Gamo Whisper, but would have probably purchased the Whisper/Fusion if it weren't for the screaming deal this was at the time. Still. Even with the basic cross hair scope, it is fairly accurate. Haven't shot any animals, and don't know if I'll ever have the chance. I'm mostly a paper-puncher and this one does fine on targets. NOT quiet by ANY definition!
This is probably the noisiest air rifle I've ever used! I have a cheap Chinese "springer" pellet gun that shoots at the same velocity but makes a lot less noise. The one saving grace for this rifle is that it is quite accurate. Great air rifle but I question the scope.
Lot of trouble sighting in the scope/rifle, shot good group but wouldn't stay on bullseye when returned to the bench--sight in again but same thing. ????? I like the rifle and how it shoots and operates but doubt the scope--will research the scope more.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great fun for Plinking and great fun for Hunting
If you are looking for an Air Rifle for target shooting and pest control then you will be happy to know that the Gamo Wildcat Whisper .22 will satisfy your needs. Right out of the box, I was amazed to see the build quality, accuracy, and power of this beautiful Air Rifle. Within minutes after mounting the scope, I was on paper and zeroed in quarter sized grouping at 20 yards. You will be very happy with this gun as well. Squirrels, Rabbits, and even much later game (with a carefully placed shot) are no match for this .22 caliber break barrel. Super deal for the money! The scope was on the money for windage when installed and was shooting about an inch high at 25 yards! With Woodburys super deal discount, just a tad over 100 bucks! Lightweight and Accurate
A bit hard to cock at first, best method is to grab the barrel at the very end. Took only a dozen shots to zero in the scope at 30', easy to mount with included allen wrench. Knocks a squirrel dead right off a branch when former .177 cal would just wound. Great lightweight varmint rifle. Get the .22 lead that GAMO recommends.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
