Cheap and easy fix for faulty PS3 Slim
A very easy and cheap fix for my old PS3 slim that started to play up. It sometimes didn't read the discs or crashed during a game. Eventually it would take 5 or more attempts for a disc to be accepted. I fitted this laser assembly in less than 30 minutes and now the PS3 is flawless. ps3 slim Bluray laser
I bought this for my wife's PS3 has it stopped reading the game Disc , after watching the videos on youtube I took to the task of fitting the laser , firstly you will need a T8 torks key this makes it a lot easier to open the PS3 , I found it easy to dismantle the bluray holder and then fit the new mechanism in its place, You have to reuse the rubber grommets and the fat ribbon contact , if you take your time and keep everything in a container you will be rewarded with a fully working PS3 again .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

PS3 stopped reading Blu-Rays/Games, DVDs worked fine, this part need to be replaced, with YouTube tutorials to help in opening up the ps3, getting to the disc drive part and a little patience, most people could do this simple fix and get the ps3 working again.
