Connecting up
I found it difficult connecting the corrugated pipes to the nozzles, even using pans of hot water outside, then the wife suggested bringing the pipes and nozzles inside and she did it with a ladies hairdryer, softening the ends first. Don't forget to slide the clips on first. I had a five metre length of hose to return the water through a waterfall at the far end of the pool and after reading a review saying the nozzle with the impellor inside gets blocked easily when sucking dirty water out I decided to fit it on the return pipe. I haven't tried cleaning the sponges yet but have tried rotating the big knob on the top round to expel mucky water - and it very stiff. However our kitchen drawer has one of those gadgets for removing the tops off jars, a handle with a rubber loop that you set for different sizes - this works well. It's early days and my pond hasn't had a filter working for about three years so I'm not expecting miracles overnight. good filter, easy clean, so good I bought two.
