H, I purchased the VonShef Instant hot water dispenser, recently because I have Tennis elbow and a problem with my hand Grip. It was top rated by Good house keeping, and I must say it lives up to my expectations. The water is extremely hot, so makes an excellent cup of Tea, either by cup/mug it even allows you to use your Teapot if desired. It is easy to keep clean/fill with water and makes, making a hot drink very efficient and its motor runs a lot quitter than a kettle. I have dropped 1 star because I personally think it may be of an advantage to have some sort of cup/mug automatic cut off. GREAT IDEA JUST POOR QUALITY
This really would be a great item for instant tea / coffee / cuppa soup etc , but its the quality that completely lets it down . Our 1st boiler lasted only 5 months and had not been over used . Compare this to a standard kettle and there really is no competition , as even a cheap kettle will last 12 months and longer . So at £40 + this really is a BAD buy and I would recommend staying well clear . We certainly will not be tempted to purchase another , unless 1 of the quality manufacturers , ie Russell Hobbs / Swan / Morphy Richards etc decide to introduce 1 into their range . Dont know who Dihl are , but it appears all their products are bad quality , as ive seen reviews on their automatic kitchen bins , which proves their products are not made to last . Better now
This is just handy for a quick cuppa or for anything requiring hot water (stock pods/cubes etc). Its a simple on or off in other words it will dispense hot water until yoy switch it off. It did taste chemicaly and took quite a few flushes out but we ended up flushing through with bi-carb. That cured it but we bought a water filter and now use 'filtered' water in it. Our tea tastes totally different (better) now, easy to use and very quiet and quick. My only critisism is that when you flip the lid back to refill any condensation collected under the lid can have a tendancy to dribble down the back of the tank. The tank does come off to refill but we keep it in situ and fill up as needed, even boiling a kettle for just 1 cup the kettle has to have a minimum in which will be more than just a cup. This just boils the amount you want so saving power as well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Ideal and convenient
Very pleased with stylish look of the hot water dispenser, simple to use just place your cup in position and press the button, fills a mug in approx 25 to 30 seconds. I gave this product 4 1/2 stars out of 5 only because you have to watch over it to ensure it does not over flow the cup, and of course it only makes 1 cup at a time, minor thing really and all said it's quicker than waiting for a kettle to boil. I would recommend that rinse it through by making a few cups of hot water first before making your first cuppa as it has a slight chemical taste. I love my gadgets and am really pleased with this hot water dispenser; its fast, got to be cheaper than boiling a kettle, and smart looking and you are not lifting a heavy kettle. After using it for 3 weeks, the only drawback I find is that you have to stand over it ready to switch off when you mug is full, - don't walk away and start another job! Cut off problems
Love this product but after a few uses it decides to cut out half way through filling a cup of tea, We have to wait for a while before we try it again and the same thing happens, pours one cup fine but cuts out when we pour the next.(always happens on my husbands cup! lol) Have sent a message to manufacturers regarding this so just waiting for a response. Great Kettle
Really like this item. I had a few issues re the taste at first but Dihl speedily advised to wash through several times --15-- Seemed to sort out the problem. Have had it in constant use. So quick to start and despite the look of the flow of water you cannot go off and return before it has filled a mug. As one of my 4 yr old twin grandsons says....Don't take your eyes off it !!!!Have occasionally forgotten to stand still and wait so have stood it on a tray. Beats the kettle my husband uses and is so much quieter. Fill the large water jug in the morning and good to go. No need to leave it on. Water is boiling hot immediately and can be put into pans or cups. Have also used it as running source of water to clean the draining board. as good as it looks
as i suffer with arthritis in both hands as well as carpel tunnel ,this is great compared with the kettle -now no need to lift a kettle which is heavy enough without boiling water to pour out ,now i just put my cup under the outlet and press a button and hey presto a nice cuppa without the strain & danger of dropping a hot kettle , and the water does not come out too fast which is an advantage, love this -wish i had it sooner ,this was a xmas present - and just what i wanted ,excellent value ,easy to use and looks good.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
